POSITION TITLE:

Site Manager

REPORTS TO:

Executive Director

SALARY / PAY RANGE:

$18 - $20 per hour, a non exempt position
Benefits include paid time off for vacation, major holidays, and sick leave

POSITION SUMMARY:

If you enjoy hospitality and working with seniors in a compassionate way, you are the type of leader we are
looking for. The Site Manger sets the tone for the whole dining site. An upbeat and enthusiastic site
manager will create feelings of enthusiasm among the seniors and volunteers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive food from delivery trucks daily, check quantities, take/record temperatures and store food properly
• Heat and serve dining room meals
• Clean up and wash dishes
• Administration of the goals and intent of the Senior Nutrition Program per Area Agency on Aging
• Implement program policies and procedures to ensure site is compliant with regulations
• Supervise staff and volunteers in the performance of their duties, whether onsite or for delivery program
• Responsible for orientation of new staff and volunteers (trainings, certifications, etc)
• Responsible for entering all data from daily operation into computer system (training provided)
• Submit reports in a timely and accurate manner
• Plan ahead and submit meal quantities

Abilities to:

• Ability to remain positive and have a good attitude :)
• Previous management/supervisory experience required or proof of previous increased responsibilities
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to lead with your heart and manage with your head (leader + manager = balanced supervisor)
• Utilizes common sense, social intelligence, and compassionate communication (phone, email, in person)
• Ability to multitask, direct multiple projects at once, and be time sensitive
• Understands computer systems and is comfortable using them (we use them for tracking daily information)
• Previous experience coordinating volunteers or groups a plus
• Food and beverage experience a plus (must obtain food handlers card)
• Ability to drive Meals when needed
• Open minded toward technology, new procedural implementations, and solid with confidentiality
• Self-motivated and take ownership
• Speak, read and write English (other languages a plus)
• Maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with staff and volunteers
• Effectively and reliably handle duties and responsibilities outlined below
• Must be able to safely lift 20 pounds
• Be prompt and submit reports in a timely and comprehensive manner
• Be professional in all dealings with public, clients, volunteers and staff

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Access to transportation
• Provide evidence of good health
• Have no health condition that precludes job performance
• Computer skills a must
• Legal ability to work in the United States
• Pass a background check
