Barbara grew up in SLO County. She graduated from Cal Poly of SLO with a degree in Nutritional Science and completed the first dietetic internship there. She then worked as a Registered Dietitian for almost 20 years at Mee Memorial Hospital in King City, California. Barbara is Board Certified in Gerontological Nutrition. She came to work for Meals That Connect Senior Nutrition of SLO County not only to work closer to home but also to serve those in the community where she was raised, her family, friends and acquaintances.
