We’re thrilled to announce the return of our much-anticipated event, Pickles for a Purpose, the first San Luis Obispo county-wide pickleball tournament dedicated to supporting the Meals That Connect – Senior Nutrition Program. Last year, we saw an incredible turnout that not only celebrated our community’s love for pickleball but also significantly contributed to our mission of providing nutritious meals to seniors. This year, we aim to raise the bar even higher, and we need your help to make it happen!
Last Year’s Success
Reflecting on last year’s event, it’s heartwarming to see how our community came together to support a noble cause. The energy, enthusiasm, and competitive spirit on the courts were matched only by the generosity of participants and sponsors. Thanks to everyone’s effort, we were able to provide over 200,000 meals to seniors in our community, a milestone that speaks volumes about what we can achieve when we unite for a purpose.
Event Details
This year’s Pickles for a Purpose promises to be even more exciting, with three days of pickleball action planned across the county. Here’s everything you need to know:
All Skill Levels Welcome: Whether you’re a seasoned player or just looking to have fun and support a great cause, your participation is valuable to us. The tournament will feature a Round Robin Event with Mixed Doubles and Men’s & Women’s Doubles categories.
Registration Fee: A $60 registration fee per person will directly support Meals That Connect, ensuring we can continue our mission to provide meals to seniors.
Dates and Locations:
Friday, June 7th: North County Tournament at Templeton Tennis Ranch, 8 AM – 4 PM.
Saturday, June 8th: Coastal Tournament at Cambria Pickleball Courts, 9 AM – 4 PM.
Sunday, June 9th: SLO Tournament & Countywide at French Park, 8 AM – 2 PM.
